Terragon Group, Africa’s leading New Media Company is
billed to have an exhibition at the upcoming Global Systems Mobile Association
(GSMA) Mobile World Congress holding in Barcelona, Spain from the 24th to the
27th of February 2013. Terragon would be the only indigenously owned Nigerian
company to exhibit at the conference, which attracts the biggest players in
mobile telecommunications services from across the globe.
Speaking on this development, the Managing Director of Terragon
Group, Mr. Elo Umeh said, “We are excited at this milestone of not only
participating in the GSMA Mobile World Congress but also confident of the
global competiveness of the business we have built over the last four years.
Our bouquet of services will be attractive to the international audience who
are increasingly seeking innovative services, consumer insights and excellent
execution, all of which we offer and have an excellent track record of service
delivery within Africa. Our participation is also a reflection of the
development that is coming from within the industry in Africa and the Mobile
World Congress is a great opportunity to tell the story of the unprecedented
growth in the Mobile industry in Africa”.
Umeh added that Terragon would be showcasing its
three business units each of which focuses on different facets of the digital
and new media sphere ranging from Mobile advertising, content aggregation and
distribution to digital media marketing and consumer engagement.
Last year’s edition of the Mobile World Congress
attracted up to 72,000 delegates from around the world. With brands like Nokia,
Samsung, Etisalat, MTN among many others in attendance, this year’s edition is
set to be even bigger.
Terragon Group boasts of Africa’s first indigenously
owned mobile advertising network Twinpine, which provides a platform for owners
of mobile platforms including mobile sites, mobile apps and social networks, to
make money from advertisers by serving ads on their various platforms for the
African audience. Part of the exhibition from Twinpine will include a
demonstration of their mobile advertising platform, which provides innovative
ad sizes suited to the African market and splash screens that give advertisers
more media mileage for their money.
With all these Terragon is set to put Nigeria and indeed,
Africa on the map as a growing and veritable market for investment and business
opportunities.
